Donor Advised Funds (DAFs)

A donor advised fund (DAF) is a flexible and tax-efficient way to manage your charitable giving. When you contribute to your fund, you receive an immediate tax deduction and can recommend grants to organizations like ACPeds at your convenience. Funds may be invested and grow tax-free, increasing your potential impact over time.

Benefits of a DAF include:

  • Streamlined giving through one centralized account
  • Immediate tax deductions
  • Tax-efficient strategies such as “bunching”
  • Avoidance of capital gains taxes on appreciated assets
  • Simplified recordkeeping with a single annual summary
  • Flexibility to give anonymously or name your fund

A DAF can be a powerful tool for thoughtful, strategic philanthropy.

Stock and Securities Donations

A gift of appreciated securities can provide greater tax advantages than a cash donation. By donating stocks, you may avoid capital gains taxes while receiving a charitable deduction for the full market value.

Donors can make stock gifts through Charles Schwab. To ensure your gift is properly credited, please follow the transfer instructions below:

Additional Giving Options

Memorial and Honorarium Gifts

Honor a loved one or commemorate a special occasion with a dedicated gift. Upon request, ACPeds will notify the individual or family you designate. Gift amounts remain confidential.

Matching Gifts

Many employers match charitable contributions, potentially doubling or tripling your impact. Check with your Human Resources department to determine eligibility and submit the appropriate forms with your donation.

Legacy and Planned Giving

Your legacy is more than what you leave behind—it’s a final act of care, intention, and generosity. Through thoughtful planned giving, you can provide for your loved ones, reflect your values, and ensure the causes you care about continue to make a meaningful difference for years to come.

Planned giving offers flexible options that can be tailored to your personal, financial, and philanthropic goals, allowing you to create a lasting impact that extends far beyond your lifetime.

To learn more about how you can make a difference, please contact Jon Cassady at 352-376- 1877 ext. 1006 or advancementdirector@acpeds.org.

Options include:

  • Gift of Assets: Cash, stocks, bonds, insurance policies, real estate, or trusts
  • Wills, Trusts, and Estate Gifts: Include ACPeds in your estate planning
