Why This Moment Matters

Pediatric medicine has reached a crossroads.

Pediatric medicine is evolving rapidly, and physicians need access to the highest-quality evidence to provide the best possible care for children and adolescents. As new and controversial approaches to pediatric healthcare continue to emerge, it is essential that clinical decisions remain grounded in rigorous research, careful evaluation of outcomes, and a commitment to evidence-based practice.

If you believe that children deserve care informed by the best available evidence, that children's developing bodies should not be subjected to harmful and irreversible interventions, and that every human life possesses inherent dignity and worth from conception, you are not alone.

ACPeds equips physicians with scholarly resources, clinical analysis, and professional support to help them stay informed, evaluate emerging evidence, and provide care guided by the best available science.

"For many years I struggled to find a medical organization that respected the faith and values of the families I served and that supported what I knew to be the ethically right approach to caring for children. That is why I joined the American College of Pediatricians."
Michael Artigues, MD, FCP President, American College of Pediatricians

What is the Mission & Vision of ACPeds?
ACPeds was founded in 2002 as a professional home for pediatricians who hold to evidence-based, biologically grounded care and traditional family-centered medicine. We are the only pediatric organization protecting both preborn children and the conscience rights of healthcare professionals.
What is a Fellow (FCP)?
The FCP designation after a pediatrician's name stands for Fellow of the American College of Pediatricians. Fellows have obtained initial board certification in pediatrics or a pediatric surgical specialty. This designation provides confidence to your patients and colleagues that you are a qualified pediatrician with a clear interest in always seeking the best for children. As a Fellow of the College you will receive a distinguished certificate to display in your office and the opportunity to use the FCP designation as part of your credentials.
I already belong to a professional organization, why should I join ACPeds?
ACPeds provides a community of colleagues who are aligned with your values in the pursuit of what is best for children - sound scientific inquiry, principled advocacy, and member resources to support your pediatric practice and professional development. Our members vote on key policy statements and have a clear voice in the College.
Where can I find information about membership categories?
Please visit our website for detailed descriptions of our membership categories and dues. We have categories for all types of healthcare providers as well as for our friends and supporters… there is a place for you.

New members who enroll in automatic renewals receive a 50% discount on membership for the first year. You can cancel or adjust automatic renewals at any time by contacting our Member Coordinator.
How are my dues used?
Dues paid to the College are used to develop key resources for our members as well as support general operations. Generous donors and partners primarily support our initiatives and projects. Stewarding our resources wisely is a key value of ACPeds. Please visit our Annual Report to learn more.
What portion of my dues goes toward lobbying?
ACPeds adheres to the regulations of the Internal Revenue Service regarding the political activity of 501(c)3 organizations.
