Kimberly A. Vacca, MD
My name is Kimberly A. Vacca. I have been married to my husband, Raymond T. Vacca, for 29 years. We have 4 children - Joe, Libby, Amanda, and Dominic - ranging in ages from 17 years to 27 years old. Our youngest is finishing high school and the other three are living independently.
I live in Huron, Ohio, and I have been practicing pediatrics in the area since 1998. I have sought to better serve the community through my occupation. I completed training in Creighton Model fertility care and NaProTechnology medical services so as to treat adolescent females with gynecological complaints with non-OCP modalities. I feel privileged to share this knowledge not only with the teens in my practice but also with young adult women and couples that I meet looking for alternatives to traditional OB/GYN. I also became a certified FACTS presenter. FACTS (Fertility Appreciation Collaborative to Teach the Science) is a medical organization whose mission is to teach medical students, residents, physicians, and other healthcare professionals the science supporting fertility awareness based methods for health and family planning. I love learning new things and sharing this knowledge with others.
I strongly believe in a balanced lifestyle - faith, family, work. For me this balance comes through the things I enjoy - nurturing growth in my faith, reading, and hiking vacations. I am very active with our church. Also, my husband and I have been grateful for many camping and hiking adventure vacations with our family throughout the United States over the years which serve to re-connect us as family as well as rejuvenate my soul. At other times I might be curled up on the couch reading, especially in the colder weather. In addition to these things, I have a regular routine of exercise which has been a steadying force for me. All of these things help me to be the best that I can be for those around me.
I appreciate the opportunity to apply for a position on the Board of Directors for the American College of Pediatricians.
